WORC Proudly Announces our 2024-2025 WORC & Learn Undergraduate Fellow!
A warm welcome to Moya Guy, WORC’s 2024-2025 WORC & Learn Undergraduate Fellow! Moya is a senior at Augustana College studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology. Her primary projects at WORC are social media coordination and survey fielding management.
Let's get to WORC!
WORC is proud of our collaboration with Evanston Scholars, a nonprofit dedicated to helping first-generation, low-income high school students of color navigate college entry and achieve success throughout. Since 2022, our two organizations have been teaming up to provide a paid and immersive internship open exclusively to Evanston Scholar students.
The internship
WORC & Learn Undergraduate Fellows have the opportunity to immerse themselves in WORC's energizing environment as full members of our team. Interns are assigned specific tasks that allow them to utilize their existing skills while developing valuable skills for their careers. From learning qualitative research methods to navigating the professional workplace, our interns are equipped with the support to thrive.
How it started
The WORC & Learn Undergraduate Fellowship grew out of Founder and CEO Ellen Frank-Miller’s involvement as a mentor with Evanston Scholars since 2018. Ellen’s mentee, Chassa Pratt, became the inaugural WORC & Learn Undergraduate Fellow in 2022, and her contributions to our work have been invaluable.
We can’t wait to invite more Evanston Scholars to join our team for a summer, a semester, or a school year. As they say at Evanston Scholars, Let’s Make It Happen!
