Announcing The WORC & Learn Undergraduate Fellowship Program

Let’s Get to WORC!

WORC is extremely proud to collaborate with Evanston Scholars on this exciting new venture. Evanston Scholars is a nonprofit dedicated to helping first generation, low-income, high school students of color navigate college entry and success. Our two organizations are teaming up to provide a comprehensive, paid internship experience at WORC open exclusively to Evanston Scholars students.

The Internship

WORC&Learn Fellows will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the collaborative, energizing environment we foster at WORC. Our fellows won’t sit on the sidelines or get people coffee! Instead, the program allows each WORC&Learn Fellow to become a full and complete member of our team for the duration of their experience, gaining valuable research skills and professional workplace experience, along with exposure to the action of a startup environment.

Why?

Founder and CEO Ellen Frank-Miller, PhD, has been an Evanston Scholars mentor for the last 6 years. Ellen’s mentee, Chassa Pratt, became the inaugural WORC&Learn Undergraduate Fellow in 2022 and her contributions to our work have been invaluable. We can’t wait to invite more Evanston Scholars to join our team for a summer or a semester to, as they say at Evanston Scholars, Make It Happen!

Hear what Chassa and Ellen have to say about the program in this video!
